Joël's passion is making the world a better place with trust & safety in technology. He leads this effort at Canva, working to achieve impact safely with a platform approach. Previously he led Cloud Developer Platform at Atlassian, Product & Privacy at Sonder.io, and multiple products at Google over six years across consumer, enterprise, social, hardware, AI/ML, voice, geo/maps, hardware, and mobile.
Joël also co-founded a social impact startup, mentored dozens of startups and nonprofits, and volunteered to help government groups innovate across education, safety, and security. He enjoys more hobbies than you'd expect, though now spends most of his time as a dedicated dad.
Chris began his career in London, gaining experience in the creative and advertising industry. Later, in Australia, he contributed to starting up R/GA Sydney, which led to his role at Google. Over 8 years, Chris led innovation, applying AI and Human-Centred Design Thinking. His collaboration with Google’s engineering teams and priority clients resulted in innovative customer-facing experiences. Additionally, Chris successfully launched Woolaroo an AI product supporting the world’s Indigenous languages.
Today, Chris is the founder of Dare Together, whose mission is to empower teams to ethically harness AI, designing integrated, culturally safe AI service offerings that create new revenue streams or provide time back to teams to allow them to focus on the work that matters.
With over 15 years of experience in SEO and digital marketing, Brie has successfully led WLDM to become a leader in the industry. Specialising in working with US private equity firms, Brie has been involved in multiple high-revenue exits and manages a growing team of over 100 employees.
Diego leads a digital product studio based in Byron Bay Industrial Estate that specialises in building mobile apps and digital applications. By leveraging AI to enhance efficiency in app development, Diego and his team create innovative, high-performing mobile apps and digital solutions. He focuses on delivering exceptional user experiences while ensuring that AI is implemented ethically and effectively, continually pushing the boundaries of digital innovation.
